Bambuco is one of the most influential dances in the country, a type of sensual waltz with only brief moments of contact, and can even be seen translated into many modern dances today. The Amazon, making up almost a third of Colombia is home to some beautifully natural sounds, from the eclectic and colourful bird species, terrestrial mammals and the largest number of amphibians, all with their collectively distinctive melodies.

In recent years Colombia has become resurgent in both a sociopolitical and economic sense. Despite being frequently listed as an unsafe country and gaining quite the reputation, this notion is quite frankly, out-of-date, The cultural cities from Bogota to Cartagena are burgeoning with new restaurants and boutique hotels and a feeling of newfound peace is awash over the region. Colombia's people are extremely polite and family-oriented, with a loving determination to be friendly and accommodating to all tourists.
