Volkshotel brand themselves around providing a hotel experience for everyone - no matter what your likes and interests are, they will find something suitable for you. Formerly the offices of the Volkskrant Newspaper and once the offices were emptied, squatters took residence in the building, forming an artistic community where free expression was of abundance. This essence can still be felt through the interiors of the hotel today.
The interior of the hotel really exhibits the fascinating history of the building, with references to the newspaper throughout the hotel. In the hotel's communal area, there is a workspace intended for the free-lancers or the creative souls looking for a space to let their ideas flow freely.
