CasaBurano

Venice, Italy

A place where the stories of the people are as important as the origin and values of the hotel itself, CasaBurano shimmers in its vibrancy on what many know as the rainbow-coloured island! Characterised by the slow essence of life on Burano, this hotel is spread over five colourful houses and reflects the individuality and infectious community-feel of the Buranelli people. It is currently the only place to stay on the island to truly grasp the enchanting day-to-day living of the locals.

Exquisite Rainbow Haven

Minimalist interiors with quirky design pieces highlight the eccentricity of the surroundings and can sleep up to eight people. Experience something that coming here for one day simply doesn't do justice; have an authentic experience of the island amongst the friendly locals and feel utterly inspired.

The Location

Venices colourful sister, Burano, is a picturesque island in the northern part of the lagoon, famous for its lace-making and brightly-coloured fishermen houses that are proudly and boldly repainted every year for all to enjoy. Just a 40-minute waterbus from Venice, Burano is connected to Mazzorbo island by a long wooden bridge. Burano is home to the leaning bell tower, views of the lagoon, and fabulous cuisine that the locals will be keen to let you try.

The Rooms

In collaboration with local artisans and design agencies, the hoteliers have given each and every suite its own personality, akin to the Buranelli people, and bought them to life with Moroso chairs, mosaic tiles by Trend as well as a minimalist feel that is truly enchanting.

Nibbles & Tipples

For some of the freshest seafood, CasaBurano invites you to tantalise your tastebuds with some delicious local delicacies at the Osteria Contemporanea and Osteria al Museo. Additionally, Burano is known for bussolà cookies and resident baker Carmelina the baker will be sure cook you up a batch, using fresh natural ingredients!

For a small island, there are a mighty bunch of experiences to be had. Go on a photography tour of Burano with a professional photographer by boat, discover the world of Venissa amid a sensory experience of grape varieties and journey the beautiful lagoon via Venetian voga.

God is in the details

By morning, by day and by night, this island is the one that never sleeps in terms of its vibrancy and charming local feel. Glimpse the canal and busy streets as they fill up with visitors eager to capture their colourful snapshot and at night, soak up the tranquil and hospitable atmosphere that resonates throughout the locale.
